Raipur: Zosangzuali of Mizoram performed brilliantly and won the gold medal in the women’s 86 plus kg weightlifting competition under the Khelo India Tribal Games 2026 in Chhattisgarh. He lifted 70 kg in snatch and 83 kg in clean and jerk and stood first with a total of 140 kg.

In this competition organized at the Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla University Sports Complex in the capital Raipur, Pinky Boro of Assam won the silver medal by lifting a total weight of 125 kg. He performed 55 kg in snatch and 70 kg in clean and jerk. Gunjan Uike of Madhya Pradesh also performed strongly and won the bronze medal by lifting a total weight of 86 kg.

He lifted 39 kg in snatch and 47 kg in clean and jerk. Tripura’s Twismu Jamatia stood fourth in the competition with a total weight of 77 kg. During the competition all the players displayed excellent technique, confidence and competitive spirit at a young age. The matches were very exciting, where every player tried to give his best. The enthusiasm of the spectators boosted the morale of the players at the venue.
