The historical and symbol of faith fair of the famous Bechu Veer Dham located at village Mishri under Kon police station area of the district was formally concluded on 29 March 2026 at 12:00 pm. This fair, which started from Ram Navami on the auspicious occasion of Chait month, continued till Ekadashi, in which thousands of devotees came every day, had darshan and worship and asked for their wishes.
There was a devotional atmosphere in the entire area during the fair. A large number of devotees arrived here from far-flung villages as well as other districts and states. Devotees bowed before the court of Bechu Veer Baba and prayed for happiness, prosperity, well-being of the family and fulfillment of wishes. According to the local people, the wishes made with true heart definitely get fulfilled here, due to which people have deep faith and belief towards this Dham.

According to the local villagers, a large number of couples and families who do not have children come to this Dham. People come here and pray to Baba to have a child. It is believed that by the grace of Baba, the wishes of many childless couples have been fulfilled, after which they come here again and perform puja and Bhandara. Due to this belief, the fame of this Dham has spread far and wide and the number of devotees is increasing every year.
Along with religious rituals, traditional programs were also organized in the fair. At various places, bhajan-kirtan, jagran, drum-drums and folk song presentations made the entire area devotional. Throughout the night the devotees kept dancing to the devotional songs and the entire fair complex echoed with the chants of Baba. In the fair, various types of temporary shops including swings, toys, sweets, chaat, pakodas, toy shops were set up for children and youth, which further increased the charm of the fair. The temple of Barhi Mai located in the Bechu Veer Dham complex is also a center of special faith for the devotees. Devotees coming to the fair, along with having darshan of Bechu Veer Baba, also offer prayers at the Barhi Mai temple. It is believed that worshiping Barhi Mai Mata brings happiness, prosperity of the family and protection of children. During the fair, there was a long queue of devotees throughout the day.
Special puja, havan-puja and bhandara were organized during the fair. After the special puja on the last day at night, the fair was declared closed by worshiping Baba again with musical instruments. After this, the devotees offered their devotion and hard-earned money and took blessings from Baba and wished to come again in the next fair.
The administration remained fully prepared regarding security arrangements. Special arrangements were also made to maintain the smooth traffic system, due to which the devotees did not face any problem in commuting.
Local people said that this fair is organized twice a year—once in the month of Chait from Ram Navami to Ekadashi and second time in the month of Kartik on the occasion of Navami, Dashami and Ekadashi. This fair, associated with an age-old tradition, is not only a center of religious faith, but has also become an example of social, cultural and mutual brotherhood in the region.
With the conclusion of the fair, the devotees returned to their homes, but the faith in Baba and the wait for the next fair was clearly visible in their minds. This fair of Bechu Veer Dham once again became memorable due to its grandeur, better arrangements and immense crowd of devotees.
