Theme parks are a favourite destination for many, but it seems a popular attraction has recently encountered an issue after a new ride opened. Disneyland Paris is reported to have been overwhelmed with "insane" queues due to the launch of the attraction, leading many to declare the experience is "not worth it" as the Easter holidays officially kick off.

People from all corners of the globe travel to Disney to experience its enchanting allure, however, some recent visitors appeared rather disenchanted. Travellers have reported being stuck in "insane" queues and enduring long waits to board a specific ride, a situation that sparked widespread conversation when footage surfaced on social media.

This isn't the first Disney-related news to emerge recently either. Not so long ago, theme park lovers were alsoadvised to steer clear of three common mistakes when visiting.

  • I used new EU airport entry system and it left me worried for summer travellers

  • I stayed in the new ice hotel - it's not the cold that some guests can't handle

Mickey Visit, self-proclaimed as a "Disney Guide" on TikTok, posted footage of the queues online. Accompanying the video, the user wrote: "Disney's new theme park expansion drew huge crowds on opening day.

"These massive crowds stretch around the new lagoon that more than doubles the size of Disney Adventure World. When we finally got to the front of the line, it was a posted 160 minute wait just 20 minutes or so after park opening.

"This is the new Frozen Ever After ride queue that is now open to all guests at Disneyland Paris."

The video, which has since garnered over 19,000 views, sparked a lot of chatter. Many were astounded by the size of the queue.

One person queried: "Why would anyone wait in that? Such a waste of a day." Another chimed in: "I was in that line for five hours."

A third responded: "This ride is already at Epcot. Just go there. It's not worth a long wait. It's hardly worth the wait at Epcot."

Meanwhile, a fourth remarked: "Imagine spending hundreds of dollars on Disney tickets only to spend the whole entire day in line for a ride. No thank you! Not worth it!"

One more also penned: "Let's go to a theme park which is open for eight to 10 hours to wait in line for one attraction for seven hours."

Some highlighted that other rides would be less crowded though, and shared positive experiences at the theme park. One confessed they "can't wait" to visit soon.

A fan suggested: "The great opportunity to go on other rides and wait 10 and under minutes." Another observed: "I know the people that avoided this had a great time, with every other rides' wait time being under 15 minutes.

"That's what happened to me when I went and they just opened up the Star Wars ride. Every other ride in the park was empty."

A third also exclaimed: "Omg, I wish I was there! There'll be no queues for the Peter Pan and Snow White rides!"

This comes as Disneyland Paris unveiled the World of Frozen at the newly rebranded Disney Adventure World, touted as one of the most "ambitious transformations" in the resort's history. If you visit the Frozen attraction, it's said you'll be whisked away to Arendelle.

Here, Frozen Ever After will bring the beloved tale to life through stunning scenes, captivating music and cutting-edge technology. Given that the attraction is new, queues were perhaps anticipated.

"Few stories have resonated with fans around the world like Frozen," stated Josh D'Amaro, Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company. "From the screen to our parks, cruises and beyond, its impact continues to grow, and with World of Frozen and Disney Adventure World, we're giving guests at Disneyland Paris the opportunity to experience that story in entirely new ways."

The theme park has been approached for a comment on the queues.
