If you're planning to book a trip soon, you might want to wait a little bit longer.
Expediahas revealed the cheapest dates to travel abroad, stressing that timing is everything when it comes to cost efficiency - ensuring you can have a budget-friendly break instead of digging into savings.
The travel giant's data shows that early March and late April are the key windows for finding the best international travel deals, whereas Easteris when you'll find the highest prices and busiest destinations.
If you're looking for peak savings, focus on specific dates: March 3 was the cheapest day to find international stays, but you can still wait until April 24 for lower airfares than market averages, and April 27 for cheaper accommodation options than usual.

Expedia also recommends that travellers focus on the period from late April to late May for better Spring travel options, with less hectic crowds and more competitive prices.
Prices are expected to climb sharply around the school break period, with April 2 and 3 sharing the title of the busiest dates for international stays.
The quietest travel dates, according to the research, are April 28 and May 31.
“Brits are planning spring with purpose this year, securing guaranteed sunshine, squeezing more culture into long weekends and rediscovering the joy of a cosy holiday home rental in the Cotswolds or the Caribbean coastlines," said Melanie Fish, spokesperson for Expedia Group brands.
“Using the right dates to dodge peak travel times is a great money-saving hack, especially when paired with booking everything you need for your trip on Expedia for a hassle-free holiday.”
Back in February, Expedia also shared some valuable insights into how to book your trips, valid for all of 2026.
This year, Friday will be the cheapest day to fly, according to their research, and Sundays are when you'll have the best luck for booking tickets. International flights should be booked less in advance than you might think - only 15 to 30 days in advance - for optimal results.
