The global energy market is showing mixed signals right now. Oil is rising fast. Gas is falling. Other fuels are moving in different directions. This is creating uncertainty for investors and consumers.
Crude oil is now at 101.973 USD per barrel. It gained 2.34 percent in a single day. Over the past week, it jumped 15.71 percent. In one month, it is up 43.16 percent. Since the start of the year, it has surged 77.59 percent. Year on year, it is up 42.66 percent.
Brent oil is even higher at 113.388 USD per barrel. It rose 0.73 percent in a day. It has climbed 13.46 percent in a week. Monthly growth stands at 45.86 percent. This year alone, it has jumped 86.34 percent. On a yearly basis, it is up 51.65 percent.
Oil markets are clearly in an uptrend. Urals oil is trading at 109.69 USD per barrel. It gained 3.57 percent in a day. Monthly growth is a massive 75.45 percent. Year to date, it is up 117.47 percent. This makes it one of the strongest performers in the energy space.
Fuel products are also rising. Gasoline is priced at 3.3270 USD per gallon. It increased 2.37 percent in a day. Monthly gains are 40.34 percent. Year to date growth is 94.46 percent. Heating oil is even stronger. It is at 4.5289 USD per gallon. It has surged 56.15 percent in a month and 113.48 percent this year.
Coal is also moving up slowly. It is trading at 143.85 USD per ton. Monthly gains stand at 11.77 percent. Year to date growth is 33.81 percent.
Natural gas is showing weakness. It is priced at 2.8623 USD per MMBtu. It dropped 5.38 percent in a day. Weekly change is negative at 0.99 percent. Monthly losses are 3.30 percent. This year, prices have fallen 22.35 percent. Yearly decline is 30.51 percent.
European gas markets are also soft in the short term. TTF gas is at 54.07 EUR per MWh. It fell 0.83 percent in a day and 5.09 percent in a week. UK gas is at 136.2582 GBp per therm. It slipped 0.24 percent daily and 4.79 percent weekly.
German gas is trading at 55.45 EUR per MWh. It dropped 1.47 percent in a day and 7.53 percent over the week. Despite this, monthly gains remain above 21 percent.
Other energy commodities are showing varied trends. Ethanol is at 2.0600 USD per gallon with a 13.81 percent monthly rise. Naphtha is priced at 851.32 USD per ton and is up 34.38 percent monthly.
Uranium is at 84.0500 USD per pound. It is slightly down in the short term but still up 30.61 percent year on year. Propane is steady at 0.80 USD per gallon with moderate gains this year.
Methanol is trading at 3296.00 CNY per ton. It has surged 44.06 percent in a month. Coking coal stands at 223.50 USD per ton with slow but steady growth.
The overall energy market is not moving in one direction. Oil is clearly strong. Gas is under pressure. Other fuels are rising at different speeds. This keeps the global energy outlook uncertain and highly dynamic.
