It is all pink in Guwahati today after the Rajasthan Royals really cornered the Chennai Super Kings in the third match of the 2026 Indian Premier League. Earlier, the young Royals' captain Riyan Parag maneuvered his fast bowlers, bundling the guests in 127 runs. Meanwhile, Rajasthan scored the first 75 runs without a loss, courtesy of Vaibhav Jaiswal, who scored a blistering 15-ball half-century.
However, Anshul Khamboj ended the show as Sarfaraz Khan dove forward and took the catch. Suryavanshi started in his usual style, going big from ball one. The ball sometimes landed in the no-man's land, and once it landed on Karthik Sharma, who failed to palm it. Suryavanshi even survived a close LBW but eventually managed to bring the required run rate below five before departing.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi's innings of 52 runs include four boundaries and five sixes. He batted at a strike rate over 300. With that, he got his name tied with players like Yusuf Pathan, Sunil Narine, and Nicholas Pooran with the third fastest half-century in the IPL. Last season, he scored the second fastest century of the tournament.

Jamie Overton’s 43 was the lone resistance, while Jofra Archer, Nandre Burger and Ravindra Jadeja shared six wickets.
In reply, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s 52 off 17, including a 15-ball fifty, broke the chase open during a 74-run powerplay. Yashasvi Jaiswal remained unbeaten on 38 as RR finished at 128/2. The run-rate contrast summed it up: CSK 6.45, RR 10.52 in a thoroughly one-sided home win.
