Vogue Williams says she was "completely ignored” by a “rude” celebrity during an early career moment. The 40-year-old first rose to fame when she appeared in Irish TV show Fade Street.

The show followed a host of Dubliners in their twenties as they navigated work and relationships, similar to the hit US show, The Hills. Vogue then went on to appear on the Australian version of Dancing with the Stars and Bear Grylls: Mission Survive, which she won in 2015.

It was however a moment when she was working as a model that Vogue says she encountered the rude celebrity. It came after her older sister Amber Wilson revealed the same celebrity was rude to her when she was “flyering” on the streets of Dublin.

Speaking on the Vogue and Amber podcast, Amber said: “There’s someone who is on the television who was very rude to me.”

Vogue replied: “That same person was rude to me when I was working in TV. When I started working a lot more in the industry, they started being nice.

“I thought, ‘No, no, no’. You don’t choose who you are nice to depending on where they are on that ladder.

“I used to do modelling and I was on a modelling job and we were together in a really small space, it was basically like a little bathroom, and I was like, ‘Hi’, and they completely ignored me in that little space.

“I thought, ‘Oh my God,’ like just say hi. It was the two of us in the room and they completely ignored me because they thought they were better than me.”

Vogue’s career has continued to take an upward trajectory since the announcement. She now regularly hosts on ITV’s Lorraine and presents the popular My Therapist Ghosted Me podcast with close pal Joanne McNally.

She has recently been tipped to join the second series of Celebrity Traitors. Back in January, the fourth series was won by traitors Stephen Libby and Rachel Duffy, who split the prize fund of £95,750 between them.

The Traitors sees a group of strangers introduced in the Scottish Highlands, where Claudia secretly recruits traitors. It’s up to the faithful to work out who it is at roundtable meetings, where a contestant is voted off, before the traitors murder a player during the night.

Last year the first series of Celebrity Traitors was won by comedian Alan Carr. While she would love to take part on Celebrity Traitors, Vogue has revealed that she’s thinking of taking a break from appearing on reality TV shows moving forward.

She told RSVP Magazine: “I wish! I'm not going to do any of those shows for a little while, I feel like between Gladiators and I'm A Celebrity..., I'll have nothing left to do! everybody would love to do it because it's such a great show.

“The Irish one is amazing too, it's such a great format. But I've done a lot of those kinds of shows now, so not in 2026."

Vogue is returning to screens on Richard Osman’s House of Games from 6pm on BBC Two. She will be joined by Ahir Shah, Michaela Strachan, and Dr Alexander van Tulleken.
