It mainly requires 2 cups of puffed rice ( puffed rice ), 1 boiled potato, 1 finely chopped tomato, 1 finely chopped onion, some roasted peanuts, 2 spoons of roasted gram and some small pieces of fresh coconut. Among the spices, keep half teaspoon cumin powder, red chilli powder as per taste, common salt, half teaspoon black salt, 1 tablespoon raw mustard oil, juice of 1 lemon and finely chopped green coriander for garnishing.

Add finely chopped boiled potatoes, tomatoes, onions, coconut pieces, peanuts and roasted gram and mix well. Now add puffed rice into it. The real and spicy taste of Bengali Jhalmudi comes from raw mustard oil only, so drizzle one spoon of mustard oil and squeeze fresh lemon juice on top. Now mix all these things quickly with the help of a spoon so that the puffed rice gets a good coating of spices and oil. Finally, garnish with finely chopped green coriander and serve it to your family immediately. Just keep in mind that after making it, do not leave it for too long, otherwise the puffed rice will get sealed and its crispiness will be lost.
