New Delhi: An ugly fight incident between the fans stole the spotlight during the IPL 2026 clash between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Wednesday, April 1.

The video got viral on social media which clearly showed the spectators getting into a heated argument, which escalated into a full-fledged physical fight inside the stadium. The specific reason for the brawl is still unknown, but the situation intensified quickly before security officers and police intervened to separate those involved and restore order.

Delhi Capitals beat Lucknow Super Giants by 6 wickets

In a one-sided match on the field, LSG struggled to score runs and were bundled out for just 141 runs in 18.4 overs. Skipper Rishabh Pant managed to score just 7 runs before getting run out in the third over.

Aiden Markram (11) and Nicholas Pooran (8) and Ayush Badoni (0) also failed to deliver with the bat. Mitchell Marsh (35) and Abdul Samad (36) helped LSG to cross the 140-run mark. Lungi Ngidi and T Natarajan picked up three wickets each, while Kuldeep Yadav also took two.

Chasing the target, DC suffered early blow as Mohammed Shami removed KL Rahul for a duck in the first over. Pathum Nissanka (1) and Nitish Rana also failed to fire, reducing the visitors to 26/4. However, Tristan Stubbs and Sameer Rizvi stitched an unbeaten 119-run partnership for the fifth wicket to take DC over the line in 17.1 overs.

Rizvi scored an unbeaten 70 runs off 47 balls with the help of five boundaries and four maximums, while Stubbs also scored 39 off 32 balls. For LSG, Prince Yadav picked up two wickets, while Mohsin Khan and Mohammed Shami took one wicket each.

DC will next face Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on April 4, while LSG will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on April 5.
