New Delhi: Pune witnessed a noticeable shift in weather on Thursday, offering relief from rising temperatures across the city. The temperature on Thursday morning stood at 27.36°C, with forecasts indicating a rise to 33.33°C later in the day. However, rain is expected to provide some relief from the heat.

Strong winds and rising humidity

One of the key features of Thursday’s weather has been strong winds, with speeds reaching up to 42 km per hour.

Humidity levels also increased to 42 per cent, which led to an unsettled atmosphere across the city. Despite clear skies in the morning, weather conditions remained unstable.

According to the India Meteorological Department, temperatures are expected to range between a minimum of 22.86°C and a maximum of 33.33°C. Rain is likely before sunset at 6:48 pm.

Air quality remains moderate

The city’s air quality remained in the moderate category, with an Air Quality Index of 83.

Officials said no major health issues are expected for the general public, and outdoor activities can continue as usual. However, people with respiratory conditions have been advised to stay cautious as strong winds may increase dust levels in some areas.

Outlook for friday

The changing weather pattern is likely to continue into Friday, April 3.

Temperatures are expected to remain between 23.7°C and 33.51°C, while humidity levels may drop to around 27 per cent. This indicates slightly drier conditions compared to Thursday.

Weekly forecast

The weekly outlook suggests a gradual shift from unsettled weather to more stable and cloudy conditions.

April 3 may see light rain with temperatures around 27.36°C. On April 4, temperatures are likely to rise to 30.35°C under overcast skies.

Cloud cover is expected to reduce gradually in the following days. April 5 may record a high of 29.26°C with broken clouds, while April 6 could see temperatures around 29.51°C under scattered clouds.
