Netflix announced that they have officially renewed Emily in Paris for Season 6. This announcement came only five days after the season 5 premiere on and also followed, just before the renewal announcement, that on January 5, 2026, (the day of the announcement), filming of Season 6 is scheduled to occur from May 11 – September 30, 2026 in various locations in Paris with the possibility of filming in other parts of Europe as well. Based upon the filming dates and current schedule, the hopeful release date for Season 6 is late 2026 (possible November/December).

At the end of Season 5, Emily (Lily Collins) has decided to stay in Paris and has turned down Marcello’s marriage proposal, as well as the possibility of moving to Italy permanently. At this same time, Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) has sent Emily a postcard inviting her to sail on his boat in Greece, which leaves open the question of whether or not Emily and Gabriel will get back together again (keep their ‘will-they-won’t-they’ relationship going).

Creator Darren Star teased that Greece may even allow for a different backdrop for Emily and Gabriel to reunite in the future, but that they will not get back together immediately. Many speculate that if Emily were to come to Greece, it would provide for some sort of romance and drama.

The season 5 cliffhangers also set up other storylines from Season 6. At Agence Grateau, Princess Jane (Minnie Driver) becomes an equity partner in Agence Grateau after investing in the company. This investment creates more chaos at the workplace and opens the door for a lot of power struggles between Jane and Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu).

Mindy’s (Ashley Park) engagement to Nico (Paul Forman) will also see some drama/romance when unresolved feelings for Alfie (Lucien Laviscount) continue to exist, creating even more speculation around a possible love triangle.

Ashley Park will likely reprise her role as Mindy, along with the rest of the ensemble cast from season one. Many fans are hoping that Emily will travel internationally to add new cultures (i.e., Greece) and have career advancement, and that messy relationships will have closure, all while maintaining the Fashion, Comedy & Glamour that we love about the series. We don’t have a plot synopsis at this time, but anticipation is building about how Emily will navigate her new chapter of life in Paris while balancing her love life, career, and finding herself, with potential trips to the Mediterranean!
