Delhi Capitals will face Mumbai Indians at Arun Jaitley Stadium in the second match of the Indian Premier League 2026 season on Saturday (April 4) starting at 3:30 PM IST, with the first game being the double-header.

Both the teams would have started their IPL season on a high as they would be coming on the back of a victory against their respective opposition. Mumbai Indians started their season on a higher note by registering a victory against Kolkata Knight Riders by 6 wickets, whereas Delhi Capitals also would have had a comfortable victory against Lucknow Super Giants by 6 wickets earlier in the week and will look to continue the run of form, it will be a tough contest between these two top teams.

Furthermore there is another positive news for the Mumbai Indians team as Mitchell Santner is now available and will replace AM Ghazanfar in their playing XI.

Rain Could Affect DC vs MI in Delhi

Weather might play a crucial role on Saturday. Delhi is expected to witness some rain during the day. According to AccuWeather, there is a 43-51% of chances of rainfall between 4 pm and 7 pm. Whereas at the toss, around 3 pm, the possibility is 18%, which suggests that the toss could be delayed, or the game may stop time and again. The match could even be abandoned in case of a heavy downpour.

High-Scoring Game at Arun Jaitley Stadiumn is on the Cards

The Arun Jaitley Stadium is always on the flat side and supports the batsmen the most. The average first innings score in IPL 2025 was 203, and at the same venue, on the sixth pitch, the Sunrisers Hyderabad batted aggressively and smashed 278/3 against Kolkata Knight Riders in the last season, and with good weather supporting, we can expect another big-scoring match.
