New Delhi: The Delhi Police recovered 2 dead bodies from Dwarka’s Uttam Nagar. The deceased were reportedly brothers and died under mysterious circumstances, said officials. The Uttam Nagar Police is investigating the case.
According to a report, the Police got a phone call at around 6:55 pm on Saturday that 2 people were found dead in a room in a house located in Nawada area. A team was immediately dispatched to the location. They reached the house and started an investigation.
The police have identified the deceased as Devendra and Amit Kumar. They are said to be aged 40 years and 45 years, respectively and were real brothers, said officials. While Devendra lived in Mohan Garden area of the city, Amit used to live in JJ Colony, said investigators.
Investigations revealed that the brothers had shifted to the rented house in Uttam Nagar, just a few days back. The police found no external injury marks on the bodies of the deceased persons. They have now taken the bodies into custody and sent them for post mortem examination. Only after the reports of the post mortem, will it be clear how exactly did the 2 brothers die.
As of now, the police are scanning CCTV footage from the areas around the house where the brothers lived. They are trying to ascertain what exactly caused the death of the two siblings.
Apart from scanning CCTVs, the police are also questioning neighbours to find out if they noticed something suspicious before the dead bodies were found. The family backgrounds of both the individuals are being investigated. A case under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita has been filed in the matter.
