Udupi: Padmavathi V. Jois, a resident of Kadiyali Kunjibettu, was injured on April 2 when a motorcycle ridden by Ramananda struck her while she was waiting to cross the road near Kadiyali.

The rider was reportedly operating the vehicle in a negligent manner.

The victim has been admitted to a private hospital for treatment, and a case has been registered at the traffic police station.

Shirva: Goods vehicle collides with scooter

Shirva: A scooter rider identified as Shabbir Ahmed was injured on the morning of April 3 near Kutyaru Junction on the main road. The accident occurred when a goods vehicle traveling from Katapadi toward Shirva collided with his scooter, which was heading toward St. Mary’s.

Local residents rushed him to a private hospital in Udupi. A case has been registered at the Shirva police station.
