Phil Mickelson is known to be one of the stars of the show when the annual Masters dinner rolls around every year. Rory McIlroy will host the winners of the Green Jacket at this year's event, which takes place two days before the major gets underway at Augusta.
Over decades, the dinner, which is curated by the previous year's winner, has been graced by the biggest names ever to swing a club. With a mix of personalities, it's understandable that there will be some who are slightly more gregarious than others.
Three-time Masters champion Mickelson appears to fall into the latter camp, preferring to mingle around the table. At a previous edition of the meal, the California-born star was even told to keep it down, as 2015 winner Jordan Spieth once said: "You know where Phil is because he's the one telling all the stories."

Mark O'Meara, the 1998 winner, recalled a year when Mickelson sat across from him and was trading barbs with Tiger Woods, who was next to the late Arnold Palmer. Four-time Masters victor Palmer had clearly had enough of Mickelson's anecdotes.
Meara explained: "Phil is talking about the greens and Arnold says, 'Who is that talking loudly at the end of the table?' We told him it was Phil. He said, 'Tell him to shut up.'"

Mickelson's conduct at the dinner hasn't always been to play the role as the life and soul, however. According to reports, the star 'didn't say a word' during the 2024 dinner.
Mickelson was one of a number of LIV Golf stars. He had found himself at the centre of the saga between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf in recent years, having led the initial exodus to the Saudi-backed league back in 2022.
Speaking during commentary for Sky Sports, English icon Nick Faldo elaborated on Mickelson's subdued appearance. He said: "Phil was very quiet on Tuesday, he didn’t say a word. He was dead quiet, standing next to me. I wonder why."
Faldo could have been referring to his own stance on the Saudi-backed tour, with three-time winner once questioning the future of the controversial LIV set-up.
That appeared to be an uncharacteristically low-key year for Mickelson. Masters winner of 2007, Zach Johnson, recalled one tale, with the Iowa-born star sitting across from the boisterous golfer.
"I love Phil, I love the guy," Johnson said. "There aren't many guys I can just look at and laugh, but he's one of them. Not because he's funny-looking – well, he is funny-looking – but just because I love his wit. He's almost too smart for his own good.
"At Scotty's dinner [last year], there was some dessert – pavlova. And [Mickelson] says, 'Well gentlemen, let me tell you, pavlova,' and he goes off on some story about some beautiful dancer from Eastern Europe and this chef who loved the arts and watched her dance and named a dessert after her. It was a long story, much longer than that. We're all like, 'OK, Phil.'
"So, we can't have cell phones in there. But [Augusta chairman, Bill] Mr. Payne pulls out his phone and Googles it. Everybody is like, 'Oh, my gosh.'
"He looks up and goes, 'There are perks to being the chairman.' And it turns out, Phil was spot on. It was almost like he read it right off Wikipedia. You don't forget that kind of stuff. I was impressed. He's the king of useless information."
