Many individuals in the country tend to underestimate the seriousness of kidney stones. However, this seemingly minor issue can lead to severe health problems such as heart disease, chronic kidney disease, and even kidney failure. The pain associated with kidney stones can be unbearable. Recently, there has been a noticeable increase in cases among young adults aged 20 to 40, and even pediatric nephrolithiasis cases are on the rise among children. According to health agencies, 70% of the country's kidney stone cases are reported in northern and western India, which is why this region is often referred to as the 'stone belt.' To avoid falling victim to kidney stones, consider trying these remedies suggested by Swami Ramdev.
There are primarily three types of kidney stones found in the body. Calcium stones, which occur due to dehydration; uric acid stones, resulting from high uric acid levels; and cystine stones, which are caused by bacterial infections.
Kidney stones can form due to several factors, including dehydration, consumption of spinach, potatoes, dry fruits, tea, chocolate, excessive salt, high protein intake, and increased stress levels.
To keep your kidneys healthy, engage in regular exercise, maintain a healthy weight, avoid smoking, and drink plenty of water. In case of kidney stones, consuming sour buttermilk, horse gram dal and its water, leaves of the stonebreaker plant, one teaspoon of neem leaf juice in the morning, and one teaspoon of pipal leaf juice in the evening is considered beneficial.
Gallbladder stones can develop due to obesity, vitamin C deficiency, junk food consumption, and inadequate water intake. To prevent these stones, manage your weight, eat fruits rich in vitamin C, avoid packaged foods, and aim to drink approximately 3 liters of water daily.
