Hyderabad: In IPL, Lucknow Super Giants pacer Mohammed Shami blew the minds of his old team Sunrisers Hyderabad. Shami destroyed Hyderabad's top order with his fiery balls. Shami came close to a hat-trick by sending Hyderabad's stormy openers Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head to the pavilion. Due to his lethal bowling, the host team's score in the powerplay became 22/3. After Shami's tremendous performance for Lucknow, fans took Indian cricket team chief selector Ajit Agarkar and coach Gautam Gambhir to task on social media.

Right from the beginning of the match, Shami bowled balls on tight line and length. He did not give any opportunity to Hyderabad's explosive openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma to play freely. Shami started by dismissing Abhishek on the last ball of his first over. Then on the very first ball of his second over, he hit a beautiful slow ball to the head. In his first three overs, he took 2 wickets for just 7 runs, while in his four over spell, he gave only 9 runs. This is one of the best spells of this IPL season.

This performance of Shami also set social media on fire. The biggest question of the fans is why Shami, who is in such excellent form, is not being selected in the Indian team. On 'X' (previously Twitter), fans lashed out at Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar and Head Coach Gautam Gambhir.

Fans raised questions as to why a world-class bowler like Shami has been kept out of the team for more than a year.
