Kathmandu. Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava paid a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal on Monday. During this meeting held at the Ministry of External Affairs located at Singhdarbar, Ambassador Srivastava handed over a message of congratulations and best wishes to Minister Khanal on behalf of the Foreign Minister of India, Dr. S. Jaishankar.

After the formation of the new government, this is considered an important meeting at a high level from the Indian side. During the meeting, there were in-depth discussions on strengthening the age-old relations between Nepal and India and various issues to bilateral interests. The Ministry of External Affairs said that brief talks were held especially on connectivity, energy trade and pending development projects. Ambassador Srivastava also reiterated India’s commitment to continuously support Nepal’s development efforts.

The Ministry of External Affairs wrote on the social media platform ‘X’ that Ambassador Srivastava, while congratulating Minister Khanal on assuming charge, discussed various aspects of Nepal-India relations and mutual cooperation.
