Obra/Sonbhadra –

On Monday, 06 April 2026, the rally of Block level School Chalo Abhiyan from Block Resource Center Chopan under the leadership of District Basic Education Officer Sonbhadra Mukul Anand Pandey passed through Cati village of Obra, VIP Road, Degree College intersection and ended at Block Resource Center Chopan. Block Education Officer Lokesh Mishra coordinated the rally. More than five hundred children from various schools including Upper Primary School, Cathi, Khairtian, Kotha Tola, Primary School, Cathi Markundi, Bhalua Tola, Cathi Pratham, Khairtiya participated in the rally.

Addressing the rally, the District Basic Education Officer requested the present community to enroll their children in the age group of 6 to 14 in the nearest council schools. The facilities provided by the government in the school like sending Rs. 1200/- through DBT to the parents’ account for free uniform, bag, shoes, socks, sweater, free health check-up, mid-day meal, active library in every school, kindergarten for children in the age group of 3 to 6, school readiness etc. were explained.

Block Education Officer Mayorpur Sunil Kumar was in special presence. Block Education Officer Chopan told about sending children to regular schools with 100% enrollment, Anganwadi/Bal Vatika, Diksha App, Meena Manch, Bal Sansad. Information about Mother Orientation, Eco Club and Diksha Course was given by State Reference Group member Vidya Sagar. With today’s program, farewell to retired teacher Sarfaraz Ahmed Khan after 39 years of successful service in basic education. And a felicitation program was also organized.

In which the co-teachers expressed their views on the uninterrupted service of Sarfaraz. Along with this, in the School Chalo campaign and farewell ceremony, St. All the group teachers including Rajni Prajapati were present, many teachers from different schools including Anju Jaiswal, Shilawati Yadav, Savita Yadav, Seema Singh, Meera Singh were present in the rally. The program was jointly conducted by Suman Singh and Anand Tripathi.
