Mumbai Famous Bollywood filmmaker Priyadarshan recently shared his opinion about the on-screen characters of Shahrukh Khan and Akshay Kumar. He told that both the actors have their own distinct style, which decides how well they can play which kind of role.

Akshay Kumar's specialty: Fit in the role of a common man

Priyadarshan especially praised Akshay Kumar. He said that Akshay's biggest strength is that he completely gets into the character of a common man. Akshay's body language and way of walking seems very ordinary. Giving the example of the film 'Khatta Meetha', he said that in that film, Akshay looked absolutely real in the role of a struggling road contractor. According to Priyadarshan, many actors have a very stylish style, but Akshay looks and behaves like a common man. Since he was brought up in an ordinary environment, he understands the small things of common people very well.

This style of his became a challenge for Shahrukh Khan

On the other hand, about Shahrukh Khan, Priyadarshan said that his strict and urban style can become a hindrance in some characters. Narrating an incident during the film Billu, he said that he had taken Shahrukh to a remote village in South India. After reaching there, Shahrukh expressed surprise as to how he got such a place. Priyadarshan told that Shahrukh himself had said that he is unable to relate himself to the village environment, because he has been brought up in the city, especially Delhi. According to Priyadarshan, Shahrukh's body language is quite strict and urban, due to which it is difficult for him to completely adapt to the village characters.

Humor of 'Aam Zindagi' in films

Talking about his filmmaking style, Priyadarshan said that his stories are often inspired by the lives of common people and their struggles. He described it as 'the humor of life' or 'the humor of poverty'. Giving the example of the film Hera Pheri, he said that this film is actually a comedy based on poverty, where all the characters are struggling with financial problems.

Preparation for the upcoming film 'Bhoot Bangla'

Meanwhile, Priyadarshan is busy preparing for the release of his next film 'Bhoot Bangla'. Akshay Kumar will be seen in the lead role in this film. Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Tabu and Vamika Gabbi will also be seen in important roles in the film. This film will be released in theaters on 16 April.
