Gujarat Titans beat Delhi Capitals by 1 run in IPL 2026. Chasing the target of 211 runs, Delhi reached till the last ball, but could not win. The innings of KL Rahul (92) and Miller (41) went in vain.

DC vs GT Last over: In the most exciting match of IPL 2026 so far, Gujarat Titans won by defeating Delhi Capitals by just 1 run. In this match played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, Delhi Capitals won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, Gujarat Titans performed brilliantly. The team made a big score of 210 runs thanks to the brilliant half-centuries of Shubman Gill, Washington Sundar and Jos Buttler.

Delhi Capitals' explosive start

In reply, Delhi Capitals, chasing the target of 211 runs, had a very good start. Pathum Nissanka and KL Rahul batted aggressively and made a strong partnership of 76 runs for the first wicket. Pathum Nissanka was out after scoring 41 runs in the 9th over. But Rahul stood firm. Delhi got its second blow in the 10th over, when Nitish Rana was out. He batted brilliantly and took Delhi to the threshold of victory. Rahul scored 92 runs in 52 balls, which included 11 fours and 4 sixes. However, Mohammad Siraj changed the course of the match by taking his wicket in the 17th over. After Rahul's dismissal, Delhi team came under pressure but David Miller batted brilliantly and scored 41 runs in 20 balls. However, even after leading Delhi to victory in the last over, they lost the match.

Thrill of the last over: 13 runs needed in 6 balls

In the last over, Delhi Capitals needed 13 runs from 6 balls to win. But Delhi lost by 1 run.

  • First ball - Vipraj Nigam hit a four in the first ball of Prasidh Krishna's over.
  • Second ball - Vipraj Nigam played a shot in the air on Prasidh Krishna's bouncer, on which Shubman Gill caught it.
  • Third ball - On the third ball of the over, Kuldeep Yadav took 1 run and gave strike to David Miller.
  • Fourth ball - David Miller hit a 106 meter long six while standing on the fourth ball of the famous Krishna.
  • Fifth ball - David Miller played a shot on the 5th ball. Both of them ran to take a run but Miller refused. In this way the opportunity to level the match was lost.
  • Last ball – The sixth ball missed David Miller and went into the hands of wicketkeeper Jos Buttler. Both ran to score runs but Kuldeep Yadav could not reach the non-striker's end and was run out.
