This was Gill’s first mistake under Article 2.22 of the IPL Code of Conduct, due to which he was fined Rs 12 lakh.

If the Gujarat team is again found guilty of slow-over rate and captain Gill is unable to bowl 20 overs with his team in the stipulated time, then they will be fined Rs 24 lakh.
