Paneer – 200 grams (cut into pieces)
Gram flour – 1 cup
Rice flour – 2 tbsp
Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
Celery – 1/2 tsp
Salt – as per taste
Green chilli – 2 (finely chopped)
Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
Water – to make solution
Oil – for frying
Paneer Pakora is a tasty snack recipe which is very much liked. To prepare this, first take gram flour and rice flour in a bowl. Add turmeric, red chilli, celery and salt to it and mix well.
Now prepare a smooth and thick batter by adding water slowly. Keep in mind that the batter should not be too thin, only then the pakoras will become crunchy. Now heat oil in the pan. Dip the paneer pieces well in the prepared batter and put them in hot oil.
Fry them on medium flame until they become golden brown and crispy. Keep turning occasionally, so that all sides get cooked evenly. Drain the prepared paneer pakodas on tissue paper to remove excess oil. Serve them hot with green chutney or tomato sauce. If you wish, you can also sprinkle some chaat masala on top.
If you want to make the pakodas more crispy, you can also add a little baking soda or cornflour to the batter. Also, it is important to have the right temperature of the oil, too cold oil will make the pakoras soft.
