Lucknow. Taking seriously the matters to the appointment of teachers, the Basic Education Department of Uttar Pradesh has taken an important decision. The department has directed all the districts to re-examine the teachers appointed on the basis of fake documents, so that any kind of irregularity can be completely eliminated.


Why is the investigation being done again?


Although the department says that at present no teacher is working on the basis of fake certificate, yet this step has been taken as a matter of caution. Many districts have reported the number of fake teachers as zero, on which the department has paid special attention and asked for a detailed and verified report.


Strict instructions to officials


In the recently held virtual meeting, clear instructions were given to divisional and district level education officers that the investigation process should be completed with complete transparency and seriousness. Negligence will not be tolerated at any level.


Review of other schemes also


In this meeting, not only the investigation, but many important schemes and works of the education department were also reviewed. These included discussions on progress of Vidyanjali portal, DBT schemes, admissions under RTE, pending complaints on IGRS and court matters.


Emphasis on RTE and recognition


Officials were instructed to ensure 100 percent admission of children who have been allotted seats in schools under RTE. Besides, cases to new recognition of schools were asked to be settled on time every month.


School Chalo Campaign and Pending Payment


The progress of “School Chalo Abhiyan” was also noted in the meeting and instructions were given to make it more effective. Apart from this, emphasis was also laid on settling the pending payments of retired teachers and employees as soon as possible.
