Health Desk. Due to today’s busy life and changing eating habits, bone problems are increasing rapidly. Problems like joint pain, weakness and osteoporosis are being seen at an early age. Experts believe that by adopting proper nutrition and balanced diet, bones can be kept strong for a long time.
Why is bone health important?
Bones are the structure of the body, which not only gives us support but also keeps the body’s activities balanced. With increasing age, if there is a deficiency of calcium and essential nutrients, then the bones start becoming weak and the risk of fracture increases.
1. Milk and Dairy
Milk is considered the most important source for bones. Calcium and Vitamin D are found in it, which helps in strengthening bones. Consuming milk, curd or cheese daily can remove weakness of bones.
2. Eat almonds daily
Almonds are rich in calcium, magnesium and protein. It helps in increasing bone density and provides relief from joint pain. It is advisable to eat some almonds daily.
3. Green leafy vegetables
Spinach and other green vegetables are a good source of calcium and iron. It strengthens bones and fulfills the deficiency of minerals in the body.
4. Consume sesame seeds
Nutrients like calcium, phosphorus and zinc are found in sesame seeds, which are very important for the growth and strength of bones. Consuming sesame seeds is considered especially beneficial in winter.
