Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal has once again grabbed headlines, and this time not for his alleged flings or being spotted around, but for being caught on camera smoking and then throwing the cigarette out of a moving car.
Oh yes, this isn't something new. We've seen many celebs and commoners do the same, smoking in moving cars and throwing the cigarette outside. But when a celebrity or a known personality does it, they are quickly called out and massively trolled. This is exactly what happened with Chahal.
In the viral clip, Chahal is allegedly seen smoking while driving his Porsche and tossing the cigarette onto the road. Netizens slammed him and schooled him for his behaviour.
However, the exact date and authenticity of the clip could not be independently verified. So far, Chahal or his representatives have not issued any statement on the matter.
Recently, in a YouTube conversation with former Royal Challengers Bengaluru teammate AB de Villiers, Chahal revealed that he had quit alcohol to prioritise his fitness and become a better role model.
"This year, my mind has said that I will take care of my body first. And I have some good news for you: I stopped drinking alcohol," he had said.
"It's been more than six months. I am 35 now. I want to be more active and give 150 per cent for my team. As a senior bowler, I want people to see me and feel they can learn something from me," he added.

Ahead of IPL 2026, Punjab Kings retained Chahal for ₹18 crore. He remains the highest wicket-taker in IPL history, with 224 wickets in 177 matches across Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Rajasthan Royals.
Chahal also won the Purple Cap in 2022 while playing for Rajasthan Royals, picking up 27 wickets that season. This year, he has taken three wickets in three matches so far, maintaining an economy rate of seven runs per over.
Punjab Kings have had a strong start to the season and remain unbeaten, although their recent match against Kolkata Knight Riders was washed out due to rain.
Chahal, who last featured for the Indian team in 2023, is currently part of the Punjab Kings squad in the ongoing IPL season. The Shreyas Iyer-led side is set to take on Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur on Saturday, April 11.
