Indian metal sector stocks recorded mixed movement in mid-morning trading on Friday, April 10, 2026, with most counters posting modest gains while select names declined.

Among the gainers:

Maithan Alloys rose 1.57% to ₹949.10 on BSE and 1.42% to ₹948.95 on NSE.

SAIL advanced 1.13% to ₹165.20 on BSE and 0.98% to ₹164.95 on NSE.

Welspun Corp gained 1.21% to ₹961.00 on BSE and 1.20% to ₹961.05 on NSE.

MOIL rose 1.05% to ₹303.70 on BSE and 1.00% to ₹303.35 on NSE.

Hindustan Zinc advanced 0.92% to ₹563.70 on BSE and 0.84% to ₹563.20 on NSE.

JSW Steel gained 0.94% to ₹1,221.10 on BSE and 0.83% to ₹1,219.70 on NSE.

Jain Resource Recycling rose 0.83% to ₹426.10 on BSE and 0.63% to ₹425.15 on NSE.

Jindal Steel and Power advanced 0.62% to ₹1,207.10 on BSE and 0.45% to ₹1,205.00 on NSE.

Tata Steel gained 0.51% to ₹206.30 on BSE and 0.47% to ₹206.16 on NSE.

Hindalco rose 0.09% to ₹986.55 on BSE and 0.10% to ₹986.60 on NSE.

NMDC advanced 0.17% to ₹84.55 on BSE and 0.08% to ₹84.51 on NSE.

On the downside:

APL Apollo Tubes fell 0.62% to ₹2,028.00 on BSE and 0.62% to ₹2,027.70 on NSE.

NALCO declined 0.75% to ₹409.30 on BSE and 0.81% to ₹409.00 on NSE.

Coal India slipped 0.37% to ₹452.50 on BSE and 0.13% to ₹453.50 on NSE.

Vedanta was down 0.18% to ₹735.85 on BSE and 0.18% to ₹735.70 on NSE.

Benchmark indices traded higher during the session. The Nifty 50 stood at 23,992.80, up 0.92%. The S&P BSE Sensex was at 77,399.38, up 1.00% as of 11.20 AM, April 10,2026.
