What was supposed to be a cute present turned into a nightmare for two sisters! A woman recently recalled a 'horror' that she went through, which she surely did not see coming. Allegedly, she had received a pair of earphones as a gift from her sister a month ago. However, just recently, one of her earphones ended up bursting in her right ear! Rushing to action, the woman got herself checked at a hospital, where she got to know that the accident had left her with an inflamed 'TM membrane'!

Taking to social media, the woman shared the pictures of the hospital bill, the earphones and her ear, which quickly went viral. Soon, it also came to the notice of the earphone company. Responding to the incident, the earphone company assured of connecting to its India team for further enquiry. "Hello, thank you for letting us know about the situation. We saw your posts and shared the information with our team in India for a direct follow-up with you," the response read.

As soon as the post went viral, netizens began to react. Most recalled similar stories, while some advised her not to use earphones at very high volume for longer hours.

"Haha, I even purchased the same after 1 week later. I felt a severe headache. The doctor said don't use headphones," a user said. "Use earphones without wire without any fear, undoubtedly the best thing," added another.

New fear unlocked, I hope you are fine," commented another person. "Do you feel some crackling sound in your ear randomly, like a mosquito making a sound in ur ear, water stuck in after bath?" asked the next.

"Hope you are doing fine but seriously at what levels are you listening to music/podcast? Didn't you notice when it was getting warmed up? Moreover, earbuds have always been faulty especially the ones priced below 7k inr," added another.
