Starting your day with a warm beverage is a healthy and refreshing habit. While many people reach for coffee, it can sometimes feel too heavy. A simple lemon tea is a lighter and more soothing alternative that gently awakens your digestive system. It’s an ideal choice for those following a clean vegetarian lifestyle, leaving you feeling fresh, energized, and ready to take on the day.
Although making lemon tea seems easy, beginners often make one common mistake. Boiling lemon slices for too long can result in a bitter and unpleasant taste. The right technique, however, helps preserve its natural freshness and flavor. With this simple trick, you can enjoy a smooth, refreshing, restaurant-style lemon tea right at home.
Ingredients:
1 cup water
1 teaspoon tea leaves (or 1 tea bag)
1–2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
1–2 teaspoons honey (optional)
A few mint leaves (optional)
Method:
Bring water to a boil in a pan.
Add tea leaves or a tea bag and let it steep for 2–3 minutes.
Turn off the heat and strain the tea into a cup.
Let it cool slightly for a minute (this is important).
Add fresh lemon juice and mix well.
Stir in honey if you like a hint of sweetness.
Garnish with mint leaves and serve warm.
Pro Tips:
Never boil lemon juice with tea, as it makes the drink bitter.
Add lemon only after turning off the heat.
Adjust sweetness and tanginess according to your taste
