
strength (Chhattisgarh), 14 April. By late night, 12 workers had died after the boiler blast that occurred on Tuesday afternoon at the Vedanta Power Plant located in Singhitarai of Sakti district in Chhattisgarh. The condition of many injured remains critical.
The families of the deceased will get Rs 35 lakh and the injured will get Rs 15 lakh.
After this accident, the plant management has now announced compensation. The plant has announced a compensation of Rs 35 lakh to the families of the deceased and Rs 15 lakh to the families of the injured. Apart from this, Vendata Group has also announced to provide permanent jobs to the families of the deceased.
Sai government also announced compensation
Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has also expressed deep grief over the accident and announced to provide an assistance amount of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of the deceased workers. Besides, the workers injured in the accident will be given financial assistance of Rs 50,000 each, so that they can get immediate relief and support.
CM Vishnudev has instructed the officials to ensure proper and free treatment of all the injured. Wishing speedy recovery of the injured, he said that any kind of negligence in treatment will not be tolerated.
PM Modi expressed grief, announced financial help
On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also expressed grief over the accident and announced compensation. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) posted on social media platform X, writing, ‘The accident at a power plant in Sakti district of Chhattisgarh is sad. I express my condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. May the injured recover soon. The local administration is providing assistance to the affected people. PMNRF will give an ex-gratia amount of Rs 1 lakh to the families of each deceased. Rs 50,000 will be given to the injured.
