Patna, 15 April. Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav congratulated Samrat Choudhary on the change of leadership in Bihar and his swearing in as Chief Minister in a formal statement on Wednesday, which was full of sharp questions regarding the plight of the state. In this sequence, Tejashwi reminded Samrat Chaudhary of the old pledge taken by him, in which he had talked about dethroning Nitish Kumar.

‘Congratulations on completing your pledge‘

Tejashwi Yadav sarcastically said in his statement that many congratulations to Samrat Chaudhary ji on finally fulfilling his pledge of dethroning Nitish Kumar. He wished Samrat Chaudhary all the best for his new tenure, calling him the Chief Minister ‘selected’ not by the people but by circumstances. This statement of Tejashwi has come at a time when for the first time in Bihar, BJP has been successful in appointing one of its leaders as the Chief Minister.

Showed mirror to the new government regarding ground reality

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi, along with congratulating the emperor, also showed the mirror to the new government by citing the ground reality of Bihar. He said, ‘It is hoped that the new honorable Chief Minister will be fully aware of this bitter, unpleasant and harsh fact that despite 21 years of NDA rule, Bihar is far behind other states of the country on almost all parameters of development.’ He alleged that Bihar is still far below the national average in NITI Aayog’s standards and Sustainable Development Index (SDG).

Serious questions raised on the plight of Bihar

Tejashwi said that quality education, dilapidated health system and collapsed law and order have become the identity of Bihar today. He asked the new Chief Minister that when will new avenues of income and investment open in Bihar? When will the migration of youth for jobs and employment stop? And when will the state get freedom from the curse of poverty and migration? He expressed hope that the new Chief Minister would focus on solving these serious problems instead of just celebrating.
