YRF CEO Akshaye Widhani confirmed the reunion in an official statement, describing the project as one that blends heartfelt storytelling with music that stays with you. Mohit Suri’s next film with the same lead pair feels like a natural continuation of what began with Saiyaara, a film that redefined what Indian romantic cinema could achieve commercially. The director has spoken about wanting to explore love in its most intense and unguarded form, which fits the template he has always worked within as a filmmaker.

Ahaan Panday And Aneet Padda’s Workfront
The Saiyaara pair reunion has been welcomed warmly by fans who have been following both actors closely since their debut. Ahaan Panday has since signed an action film with Ali Abbas Zafar, while Aneet Padda is currently working on Maddock’s horror comedy Shakti Shalini. Coming back to romance together, and with the same director, adds a layer of familiarity that the audience is clearly already responding to. The Yash Raj Films’ new movie is expected to go on floors later this year and is targeting a 2027 worldwide theatrical release.

Saiyaara, for context, was a phenomenon. Made on a modest budget, it collected Rs 338 crore in India and around Rs 580 crore gross worldwide, setting new records for an Indian romantic film. Its soundtrack dominated the streaming charts for months, and Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda became Gen Z favourites almost overnight, with fans affectionately calling them Ahneet.
With Mohit Suri back with his next project and the same Saiyaara pair in front of the camera, the Ahaan Panday Aneet Padda new film has every reason to carry that momentum forward. Expectations, needless to say, are high.
