Mrunal Thakur is currently busy promoting her Hindi-Telugu release Dacoit: A Love Story , but it’s her candid remarks about Son of Sardaar 2 that have grabbed attention. In a recent interview, the actress admitted she was left disappointed over unexpected casting choices and key scenes being edited out.



‘That’s not what I expected from the movie’Opening up about her experience, Mrunal revealed she wasn’t aware of a major casting decision that directly impacted her character arc.



Speaking to Prema, she said, “I didn’t know like, a very senior actor is going to play my husband. Because that just changes my... this is not what I expected from the movie. So, there I failed. Because there was a little bit of trust that was shaken. But you know what, I don’t have regrets.”



For context, in Son of Sardaar 2, Mrunal plays Rabia Akhtar, while Chunky Panday portrays her estranged husband Danish. Ajay Devgn essays Jaswinder Singh Randhawa aka Jassi, who is married to Dimple, played by Neeru Bajwa . The narrative then sees Rabia and Jassi finding love amid their strained marriages.
