New Delhi:- To stay fit in today’s busy life, people are relying a lot on home remedies. From Bollywood celebrities to fitness freaks, everyone starts their morning with detox drinks like cumin water, ajwain or fennel water. Among these, cumin water is the most popular which is considered a panacea for reducing belly fat and improving metabolism.

However, according to Ayurveda, any medicine is beneficial only when it is taken in the right way and at the right time. In the case of cumin water, people often unknowingly make such mistakes due to which they may have to suffer loss instead of benefit.

According to Ayurveda, cumin works to revive the stalled digestive power of the stomach. Due to which appetite improves and toxins are also removed from the body. But in order to lose weight quickly, if you drink too much cumin water or drink it throughout the day, then it can cause problems.

Right way to drink cumin water
The most effective way to make cumin water is to soak one teaspoon of cumin seeds in a glass of water overnight. Boil this water in the morning until it reduces to half or its color changes completely.

Never drink boiling or very hot water. Always drink it when it is lukewarm. Too much hot water can increase bile in the stomach and cause constipation or heartburn.

Correct time and method of consumption
The best benefits of cumin water are obtained in the morning on an empty stomach. It should always be consumed while sitting and taking sips. If you are not able to consume it on an empty stomach in the morning, then it can be taken 40 minutes after meals. By drinking it sip by sip, it enters the stomach along with saliva, due to which the digestive system does not feel heaviness and it gets immediate relief from gas and bloating.

Why is it beneficial in summer
Stomach irritation and acidity problems are common during the scorching summer season. If cumin water is taken in the right quantity and at the right temperature, it provides coolness to the stomach and controls the internal temperature of the body.

Cumin water is not just a means of weight loss but is an Ayurvedic treatment. If you include it in your daily routine with rules and moderation, it will not only keep your stomach light but will also bring a natural glow to your skin.
