New Delhi: In what comes as a good news for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2026, Pat Cummins is set to make a return. Cummins, who was suffering from a back issue, has been cleared to feature for the franchise in the ongoing 19th edition of the league.

This development comes after fresh scans revealed that his back issue, which prevented him from playing in the cash-rich league, has been completely resolved, as per a Cricbuzz report. Earlier it was reported that Cummins would be able to bowl without a restriction and will return to India on Friday to join the team.

The schedule will be followed and the Australian star player will join the side tomorrow. The scans, conducted in Sydney on Wednesday, confirmed that he has fully recovered from his back stress issue. The Australian cricketer has not played a competitive game since his injury in the Ashes late last year.

It ruled him out of the T20 World Cup that followed, with Cummins focusing entirely on his recovery to be available for the ‘back half’ of the IPL.
