Sinusitis, commonly known as sinus, is a condition in which the tissues lining the sinuses become inflamed or swollen. The sinuses are air-filled spaces located around the nose, forehead, and cheeks, and they play an important role in filtering air and maintaining moisture in the nasal passages.
When these sinuses get blocked due to infections, allergies, or cold, mucus builds up and creates pressure. This leads to symptoms like nasal congestion, headache, facial pain, difficulty breathing, and sometimes fever. Sinus can be acute (short-term) or chronic (long-lasting), depending on how long the symptoms persist.
This condition is quite common and can affect people of all ages, especially during seasonal changes. While it can be uncomfortable, mild cases can often be managed with simple home remedies and proper care.
# Steam Inhalation
Inhaling steam helps loosen mucus and clear blocked nasal passages.
Boil water and pour it into a bowl
Add a few drops of eucalyptus oil (optional)
Cover your head with a towel and inhale deeply for 5–10 minutes

Boil fresh ginger in water
Add honey and drink warm 2–3 times a day

Boil tulsi leaves in water and drink as tea
# Honey and Lemon
This combo soothes irritation and boosts immunity.
Mix honey and lemon in warm water and drink daily
