The romantic crime drama Dacoit: A Love Story, starring Adivi Sesh, Mrunal Thakur, and Anurag Kashyap, has made a strong mark internationally by entering the top 10 at the U.S. box office.



The film has been performing steadily across both domestic and global markets. On its fifth day in theatres, it climbed to the No. 7 spot on the U.S. box office charts and managed to hold its position in the top 10 through Tuesday, highlighting its growing popularity among overseas audiences and the impact of positive word-of-mouth.



A key driver behind the film’s success has been the rising demand for its Hindi version. The box office saw a notable 15% jump in collections compared to the previous day, signalling increasing acceptance and interest, particularly among Hindi-speaking viewers.



Reacting to the film’s performance, Adivi Sesh expressed his excitement over its international reception. He noted that it is especially rewarding to see the film resonate with audiences beyond India, adding that breaking into the U.S. top 10 within just five days reflects the evolving tastes of viewers and their openness to diverse storytelling.



He also pointed out that the growth in Hindi collections is not just about numbers, but a reflection of audience trust, strong word-of-mouth, and a genuine connection with the film’s narrative and characters. For the makers, he added, the aim is always for the film to grow stronger with each passing day.
