In the clip, Ravinder said he began work at 7 am and finished by midnight. Despite the long day, he claimed he did not feel particularly exhausted afterward. He shared that he earned around 650–700 AUD (approximately Rs 43,000) in a single day. This amount, he said, was equivalent to his entire monthly salary when he worked in India.

He further explained that this income could comfortably cover his groceries and other basic monthly expenses, underscoring the difference in purchasing power.

Encouraging others to aim higher, he urged people to step beyond their comfort zones and explore opportunities abroad. Reflecting emotionally, he added that he now earns more than his parents ever did, even though he believes they worked harder and faced greater struggles.

Mixed reactions online

The video prompted varied reactions on social media. Many users praised his journey, calling it inspiring and appreciating his honesty about financial growth. His message resonated with those considering working overseas.

However, others cautioned against direct comparisons between countries. They pointed out that differences in cost of living, taxes and economic conditions can make such comparisons misleading. Some noted that while earnings may be higher abroad, expenses and lifestyle costs in countries like Australia are also significantly higher.

In a follow-up video, Ravinder said that he hadn’t told his wife about his earnings but she found out through the video. He also shared that he ended up spending all the money he earned in a day because they had to go shopping.

He felt that he had been jinxed because of the video. He added that social media doesn’t help with the household expenses.

It totals to AUD 6,700 (Rs 4.45 lakh).
