Archana Puran Singh recently opened up about the harsh realities of the film sets following the release of her film Toaster.
The 63-year-old actress, who garnered recognition for her comedic roles in the Bollywood films, shed light on tight work schedules.
In an exclusive conversation with News 18the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai star said, “Even then, they expect us to extend our work hours to 13-14 hours and skip lunch breaks. This is a kind of stinginess only. Kanjoosi is a mentality… How can you not let the light men, who hold their equipment and stand under the sun for hours, eat? They don’t have assistants like us bringing them fruits. It’s terrible.”
Sanya Malhotra, who has also starred alongside Archana in the Netflix dramedy, highlighted how production houses overlook the basic necessities of the cast and crew.
Moreover, Rajkummar Rao and Abhishek Banerjee also accompanied Malhotra and the Queen of Comedy.
It is pertinent to mention that Deepika Padukone stepped away from projects like Spirit and Kalki 2898 AD last year as her eight-hour work demand was not fulfilled.
