However, many people are unable to lose weight despite trying. Along with dieting and exercise, if you keep certain things in mind before sleeping, it can be easy to lose weight. Here are some tips that can be incorporated into your nightly routine:
The habit of consuming unhealthy snacks at night can increase obesity. Eating late at night causes excess fat to accumulate in the body. Therefore, avoid snacks at night if you are trying to lose weight.
Dinner should be had by 7 o’clock. Food eaten at night does not provide energy, rather it gets stored in the body. Therefore, have a light meal at least 4 hours before sleeping. If you feel hungry, eat soup or fruit.
According to a study from Florida State University, drinking a protein shake before bed helps the body burn more calories. Waking up in the morning helps in weight loss due to higher metabolic rate and also burns excess fat.
Nicotine or caffeine should not be consumed before sleeping at night. These increase body fat and also affect sleep, which leads to weight gain.
