Vikram Bhatt established himself as a master of horror movies through his film Haunted 3D which became his most distinguished work.

The second part, Haunted – Ghosts Of The Past was shot last year and was all set to release on November 21, 2025. The release date was first moved to January 30, 2026 before it was changed again to February 6.

The film will premiere within two months according to information Bollywood Hungama has obtained.

A source told us, “Haunted – Ghosts Of The Past will be released on June 12. The makers realized that it’s an appropriate date considering the release period and are confident that it would prove to help them amass a huge audience.”

Haunted – Ghosts Of The Past will now clash with Main Vaapas Aaunga, directed by Imtiaz Ali. The film features Diljit Dosanjh and Sharvari and Vedang Raina and Naseeruddin Shah in its cast. The original schedule for Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai showed it would compete with Main Vaapas Aaunga. The Varun Dhawan-Mrunal Thakur-Pooja Hegde film moved its release date to May 22 more than one week ago.

The movie Haunted – Ghosts Of The Past brings back Mimoh Chakraborty who first appeared in Haunted together with Chetna Pande and other actors. The second part of the movie will also be shown in 3D format which was used in the first part.

The film teaser launched in September and Vikram Bhatt decided to reshoot selected film scenes based on feedback from the audience. The filming process required a total of 12 shooting days.

In November 2025, Vikram Bhatt exclusively told, “When we released the teaser the lovers of the Haunted series were not happy. They wanted more real locations. We have always been in the habit of listening to good advice. Hence, we have adhered to it and shot in actual locations. We have incorporated those shots into the film.”
