The films in the Mahavatar Cinematic Universeare based on the stories of Vishnu’s Dashavatar from the Hindu Pantheon. Starting with the story of Narasimha Avatar, it is set to chronicle the story of Parashuram, Ram, and Krishna, among others.

Choosing Parashuraam also introduces a different aspect to the narrative. As a warrior sage, this character presents a more internal and disciplined conflict compared to the intense nature of Narasimha. This choice may allow the universe to explore different tones within the same mythological framework.

The next instalments in the film series are Mahavatar Raghunandanwhich is releasing in 2029, Mahavatar Dwarkadheshwhich is releasing in 2031, Mahavatar Gokulanandawhich is releasing in 2033, and culminating with the two-part Mahavatar Kalkiwhich are releasing between 2035 and 2037.
