R Ashwin On Shreyas Iyer: Team India’s former off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has given an interesting suggestion as to how Shreyas Iyer can make a place in India’s T20I team. Ashwin has requested the selectors to write the names of India’s 15 best players in this format and choose the team on the basis of that.

Take Yashasvi Jaiswal for example, that boy is an amazing player. His hunger for runs is extraordinary. Is he good enough to be included in the list being prepared for India’s T20I team? Absolutely. So, you write the names in the same order and don’t worry about whose place you are replacing, and then decide who will be the standby.
