The holy Chardham Yatra of Uttarakhand has started from 19th April. On the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham were opened for the devotees to visit. Amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras and deafening shouts of Har Har Gange and Jai Maa Yamuna, religious rituals took place and an atmosphere of devotion was seen everywhere. Today, at the time of opening of Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham gates, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was present at the spot and witnessed the historic moment.

A large number of devotees have arrived for the Char Dham Yatra. As soon as the doors of Gangotri Dham were opened, cheers were heard everywhere. Thousands of devotees engrossed in devotion were present in the temple premises.

A day before the opening of the doors, the festive procession of Mother Ganga was sent from Bhairav ​​Valley to Gangotri Dham after special worship. Reached this Dham with traditional customs. After this, the doors of the temple were opened as per the rituals. During this time, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was present on the spot. Here he first performed puja in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and prayed for the happiness, prosperity and peace of the country and the world.

After Ganga puja, Ganga Sahastranam recitation and special puja, the doors of the Dham were opened with Vedic chanting. On this day thousands of devotees reached Gangotri Dham and had darshan of Mother Ganga. During the Chardham Yatra, a wonderful confluence of faith, tradition and enthusiasm is seen in Uttarakhand. Lakhs of devotees are expected to reach here in the coming days. For this, preparations have been completed on a large scale by the administration.


When will other Dhams open?


The doors of Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham have opened on 19th April. The doors of Kedarnath will be opened on 22nd April and the doors of Badrinath will be opened on 23rd April. A confluence of faith is going to be seen in all the Dhams.
