Egypt ranks amongst the most popular holiday destinations for Britons, with roughly one million British nationals making their way to the country annually.
The destination is celebrated for its remarkable combination of ancient history, world-class water activities and glorious winter sunshine throughout the year. Naturally, alongside sightseeing, many visitors enjoy lounging poolside and basking in the warmth during an Egyptian getaway. However, tourists at one particular resort received quite the surprise while unwinding by the pool.
Paolito Entertainment, which provides hotel and resort entertainment, posted a video of bewildered holidaymakers in Egypt being approached by someone dressed as Monster's Inc character Michael Wazowski.
The 'green monster' was spotted leaping onto sunbeds as unsuspecting guests attempted to pay no attention.
Alongside him was another performer dressed as fictional character Cheburashka. They captioned the post: "Hotel-style entertainment done right."
The post accumulated 178,000 likes as numerous viewers confessed they would find it thoroughly entertaining.
One person described it as 'their dream', while another commented: "I wish this would happen to me."
Nevertheless, not everyone was quite so enthusiastic.
"That looks terrifying," admitted one viewer, while another remarked: "They don't look very entertained."
A third confessed: "Don't want to know who is inside there."
While yet another questioned: "What the heck Cheburashka doing out there?"
