IPL2026 Updates: A relief news has emerged for Mumbai Indians, who are struggling with poor form in IPL 2026. Team’s bowling coach Paras Mhambrey has given an important update regarding the fitness of captain Rohit Sharma and all-rounder Mitchell Santner. Mumbai Indians are at the bottom of the points table this season and the team suffered a big blow when Rohit Sharma was ruled out due to a hamstring injury. He was injured in the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore and after that could not even play the match against Punjab Kings.

Now Mumbai’s next match is against Gujarat Titans this evening, which will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Interestingly, MI has not been able to beat GT on this ground so far. In the pre-match press conference, Paras Mhambrey told that both Rohit Sharma and Santner are fit now. He said that Rohit was seen batting in the nets and is continuously working on his fitness. Santner has also fully recovered, who could not play in the last match due to illness.

However, there is still some suspense regarding the return of Rohit Sharma. He had also practiced before the match against Punjab Kings, but captain Hardik Pandya had said during the toss that Rohit “may miss one or two more matches.” In such a situation, the team management would like to field him only after he is completely fit. The balance of the team will improve with the return of Rohit Sharma. In his absence, Quinton de Kock was given a chance, who impressed by scoring a century in the very first match. In such a situation, if Rohit returns to the team, then one of De Kock and Rickelton may have to be out of the playing eleven.
