Chhattisgarh:- Teams are providing health services by reaching every village, patients are getting better treatment.
Chief Minister Health Bastar Abhiyan, which is being run in the direction of strengthening and making health services accessible in the remote and inaccessible areas of Bastar division, is continuously progressing with positive results. Under the campaign, health department teams have reached every village and so far, health check-up (screening) of more than 4,19,898 citizens has been done, due to which a large number of people are getting the benefit of health services on time.

Free tests, medicines and treatment are being provided immediately to the patients identified during the campaign. Also, through effective referral system in serious and complex cases, 4,272 patients have been referred to higher health institutions and specialist treatment has been ensured so far. Due to this, citizens living in remote areas are also getting better medical facilities on time.

To further strengthen the reach of health services, a strong health system has been developed by establishing coordination between primary health centres, community health centres, district hospitals, medical colleges and super specialty institutions. Services are being effectively delivered through mobile medical units and regular health camps, especially to hard-to-reach areas.

Under the campaign, a digital health profile (Aabha) of every citizen is being prepared, so that continuity and better management of health services can be ensured in future. Besides, this initiative is also proving helpful in timely identification and effective treatment of diseases.

Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal said, “Under the Chief Minister Swasth Bastar Abhiyan, health check-ups of people are being done continuously by reaching every village. Our aim is to reach health services to every citizen and ensure 100% health check-up. The health department is working with full commitment to provide necessary treatment to the identified patients and achieve better health outcomes. This campaign is proving to give a new direction to the health services in Bastar.”

Due to the commitment of the state government and the continuous efforts of the health department, the campaign is continuously getting better results, which is playing an important role in providing quality health services to the citizens of Bastar.
