The Indian top-order batter Abhishek Sharma surpassed the Universal Boss Chris Gayle in a unique record of most 130+ runs in T20s. Abhishek achieved the record after he stood not out at 135 on April 20 at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium against the Delhi Capitals. With this he became the first cricketer in the world with four 130+ scores. Earlier, the Jamaican star Chris Gayle had three 130+ scores.

 

In 2013, Chris Gayle scored an unbeaten 175* runs for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Following that, for Somerset, in 2015, he smashed 151 and then 146 runs for Rangpur Riders in 2017. The former Australian captain Aaron Finch has knocks of 172 and 156 for Australia and had scored 131* for Surrey in 2018.

1. 148 (52 balls) | Punjab vs Bengal (Nov 2025)

 

Playing for Punjab in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Abhishek Sharma recorded the second-highest individual score in the tournament’s history. He struck 16 sixes and 8 fours at a strike rate of 284.62. He reached his half-century in 12 balls and brought up his century in 32 deliveries. His innings helped Punjab post a total of 310.

 

2. 141 (55 balls) | SRH vs PBKS (Apr 2025)

 

This innings is the highest individual score by an Indian in IPL history. Representing Sunrisers Hyderabad against Punjab Kings, Abhishek hit 14 fours and 10 sixes. He completed his century in 40 balls and guided SRH in a successful chase of 246.

3. 135 (68 balls) | SRH vs DC (Apr 2026)*

 

Against Delhi Capitals, Abhishek remained unbeaten on 135 while batting through the innings. He hit 10 fours and 10 sixes. This was his ninth T20 century, equalling the record for most T20 hundreds by an Indian. He also went past MS Dhoni in the list of most sixes by an Indian in T20 cricket.

 

4. 135 (54 balls) | India vs England (Feb 2025)

 

This knock stands as the highest individual score by an Indian in T20 Internationals. Playing at the Wankhede Stadium, Abhishek hit 13 sixes and 7 fours. He reached his century in 37 balls.
