Jowar Upma: Have you ever eaten Jowar Upma? If not, today we will teach you how to make jowar upma. For your information, let us tell you that to make nutrient-rich jowar upma, you will need half cup jowar, half cup chopped vegetables of your choice, 2 teaspoons peanuts, one teaspoon finely chopped coriander, one small tomato finely chopped, one onion finely chopped, 2 green chillies chopped, one whole dry red chilli, 6-8 curry leaves, half teaspoon mustard and cumin seeds, oil, lemon juice and salt as per taste. Will be needed.
Step 1- First of all wash the jowar. After this, soak the jowar in water overnight.
Second Step- Next morning, mix soaked jowar, one cup water, 1/4 tsp salt in the cooker and then cover and let it cook till 6 whistles.
Third step- After this, heat oil in the pan and add mustard seeds in it. When the mustard seeds start crackling, add chopped green chillies, whole dry red chillies, finely chopped onion, curry leaves and peanuts into the oil.
Fourth Step- You have to mix all the things well and fry them for about a minute. After this, you can add carrots, peas, corn or any vegetables of your choice by cutting them.
Fifth Step- Add a pinch of salt to this mixture and fry everything on low flame for 2 minutes. After this, mix finely chopped tomatoes in the upma.
Sixth Step- Add half cup of water in the upma and cover the pan and let the upma cook for 2 minutes. Now mix the boiled jowar in the upma and cover the pan and let the jowar upma cook for about 5-6 minutes.
Seventh Step- Finally, to enhance the taste of jowar upma, you have to add finely chopped coriander and lemon juice to it.
