Dehradun, 22 April. As part of the annual Chardham Yatra in Uttarakhand, the doors of Baba Kedarnath were opened for the devotees with rituals on Wednesday. During this time a wonderful confluence of reverence, faith and devotion was seen. On this auspicious occasion, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also reached Kedarnath Dham and participated in the worship.

On the auspicious occasion of opening of doors, Chief Minister Dhami performed special worship of Baba Kedar with full rituals and Vedic chanting. During this, he took a pledge and offered the first puja in the name of the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Chief Minister prayed to Lord Bholenath for the happiness, prosperity and welfare of the people of the state.

Thousands of devotees from India and abroad reached Kedarnath Dham to witness the historic moment of opening of doors. As soon as the doors of the temple opened, the entire complex echoed with the chant of ‘Har Har Mahadev’ and the atmosphere became completely devotional. Faith and joy were clearly visible on the faces of the devotees.

CM Dhami said that the four Dhams including Kedarnath Dham are the spiritual identity of Uttarakhand and the state government is fully committed to providing the pilgrims a safe, smooth and organized journey. He said that he himself is regularly reviewing the travel arrangements so that no devotee is inconvenienced.

CM Dhami gave instructions to ensure all necessary arrangements

The Chief Minister directed the officials concerned to maintain travel routes, health services, drinking water, sanitation and security arrangements at a high level. He also said that in view of the increasing number of devotees, all necessary arrangements should be made on time. On this auspicious occasion, the Chief Minister while wishing all the devotees said that the blessings of Baba Kedarnath remain on everyone and Uttarakhand continues to move forward on the path of progress.

At the same time, CM Dhami expressed his gratitude on the post made by PM Modi on social media X on the auspicious occasion of opening of doors of Kedarnath Dham. He said, ‘Chardham Yatra is not only a symbol of faith, but it also strengthens our Sanatan culture, tradition and national unity. With your guidance and inspiration, we are committed to ensuring a safe, orderly and divine journey for all the devotees. We all the people of the state and the devotees coming from all over the world will make the Chardham Yatra-2026 divine and grand by assimilating the resolutions given by you.”
